It’s that time of the year again. 2021 is ending and people are trying to set up their finances.
What’s gonna happen to gold in 2022?
Well for us to know how it will perform, let’s look at external factors that could affect it.
First, up inflation.
The Fed has always insisted that inflation is transitory. And we have always told you and actually proved that the inflation started as soon as the fiat currency was created and it isn’t about to stop.
In fact, they had to change the way they computed inflation just to make it appear like the dollar is doing fine. It hasn’t stopped prices of goods from going up. It certainly hasn’t forced minimum wage to go up at the same rate as inflation.
For 2022, inflation will continue. How do I know? Because the monetary system is designed that way and our economic fundamentals are just as problematic as it has always been. Our gross domestic product is not about to go up soon.
I know this because we are still NOT manufacturing products here, people are not going to work, and small businesses are closing down.
The number of small businesses that have closed in 2021 hasn’t come out yet but the latest number from the world economic forum states that 34% of America’s small businesses are still closed.
99.9% of all businesses in the U.S. qualify as small businesses, collectively employing 47.3% of the nation’s private workforce..
You know what that equates to? A worsening economy and inflation.
Next is cryptocurrency.
It’s all the rage. With the unprecedented run of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, plus stories of people becoming instant millionaires, cryptocurrency became the go-to investment of people trying to survive inflation.
And then it tanked… and it kept on tanking… it’s still tanking. Sure, it will recover, and when it does, it will be an epic recovery… before it tanks again…. And then recovers again.
My point is that it is very very volatile. It’s volatility is just as high as its potential.
And this year has proven that if you are looking for stability, crypto is not for you.
Third, there is also the infrastructure bill. We need $3 trillion. We don’t even have enough for social security and we now need an additional $3 trillion.
Should we ditch the infrastructure bill? Not at all but it doesn’t change the fact that we need to spend $3 trillion that we don’t have.
