Ian Ball: Gold Price Should be Higher, Better Days Ahead

This interview was filmed on March 10, 2021.

Gold has trended down so far in 2021, but Ian Ball, president and CEO of Abitibi Royalties, sees better days ahead for the yellow metal.

Why isn’t the precious metal performing more strongly right now? “I wish I had a better answer for you, but I don’t. I think gold should be trading higher,” Ball said.

Aside from the gold price, Ball spoke about the recent influx of new entrants to the royalty and streaming space, saying that Abitibi’s goal is to differentiate itself through its organic growth strategy and its commitment to maintaining a low share count.

Going to College? Not Always the Best Idea

There are a lot of negative things occurring thanks to loose economic policy. The young people of the country, like their parents who signed away their lives with mortgages, are swamped with student loans and harsh a job market. How can a young person pay off $20,000+ in loans with a part-time job, or a job that pays under $15 per hour?

Hard Assets to Topple the Fraud

The debt ceiling fiasco, resulting in a “super committee” that has no interest for the public at-large, should be a stark indicator to the US population that the time for real action against tyrannical government is here. The mortgage “crisis” was a great indicator of what happens when government is in bed with supposed private entities. The same thing is occurring with the US bond market right now and US stocks as well.

How to Invest in Gold – Alternative Investment Series

Since April, gold prices have continued their meteoric rise, with many institutional investors seeing gold as portfolio insurance that will provide growth as the value of other assets in their portfolios fall. Some Family Offices are reported to hold up to 15% of their portfolios in the precious metal, although many are now also taking profits to invest elsewhere in other tangible alternative investments like farmland or forestry. Why invest in gold?

Gold Stocks For Long Term Investors

In this article I will update my forecasts for the major gold stocks. I have a strong preference for gold producers rather than exploration stocks. Thus, when I buy gold stocks I usually focus on large producing gold companies like Newmont (NEM), Barrick (ABX) and Goldcorp (GG).

Are You Dealing With a Legitimate Company? Find Out Before You Sell Gold

In these tough economic times, more and more individuals are attempting to sell gold to buyers in order to earn a little extra cash. If you know how to tell the real thing from a scam, this can be very lucrative, but if you don’t, you may lose precious gold items or be offered less money than your gold was actually worth. In some cases, you may not receive payment for your gold at all.

Ride Out the Recession: Sell Your Gold Jewellery

Do you need to make some extra cash to pay your bills, go on a much needed vacation, or just for the satisfaction of having extra money in your pocket? These days it isn’t so easy to make extra money on the side. The recession has made it difficult for many individuals to find one full time job, let alone a second one that could provide the extra money they need.

US Now At Their $14.3 Trillion Debt Limit: Enough Is Enough!

The United States has exceeded the federal debt limit. The Government now has to shuffle money around. Important investments have been halted until mutual agreement over the debt limit can be resolved. The US. has until August 2nd to come up with a mutual plan to raise the debt limit.

Gold Investing Factors for Success

The stock market has always been an attractive means of earning quick money not to forget also a place where you can lose a lot as well. However, with the current financial uncertainty that has engulfed the world the fear of recession is present at the back of everyone’s mind. This has had serious repercussions on the stock market. Stock markets all around the world have been subject to a lot of changes due to all these factors. However, it is also very important to understand that although some of the stocks continue to provide returns in terms of share price however the extent to which they give returns now as compared to the returns that these shares used to give a couple of years back has definitely been on the downslide. Thus the best way of making money is by gold investing.

The Steadily Declining Dollar

For quite some time now, the value of the US. Dollar has been declining, which has had a foreseeable impact upon the price of gold and silver. But why exactly has the US. Dollar been declining. Will it continue to do so and should this be something to be concerned about?

Alternative to Investing in Gold and Silver

The last decade has been a wonderful time for Gold Bugs and Silver Bugs. We have profited and protected our wealth against inflation. Gold has risen from around $250 per ounce in 2001 to a recent high of $1917.90 and silver has risen from around $5 per ounce in 2001 to a recent high of $49.81. These numbers are quite exciting for anyone involved in the precious metals markets. Being a Silver Bug myself, I have to admit the ride up has been rather erratic. Long ago I had to learn to ignore the daily Comex price of Silver. Gold and Silver will continue to be an important part of my future holdings, but going forward I am beginning diversification into other metals. Here is a brief overview of some of the rare industrial metals I like and why I believe they are a good choice for anyone who believes in holding physical metals as part of their asset strategy.
