Powell: ‘We aren’t going back to the economy we had before the pandemic’
Even though it is still unclear whether the delta variant could have a significant impact on economic growth, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said the central bank is in the process of putting away its emergency tools.
“We can see that the pandemic has changed our economy. Only time will tell how lasting these changes will be. We are not going back to the economy we had before the pandemic,” Powell during the ‘Conversation with the Chair: A Virtual Teacher and Student Town Hall Meeting.’
