Recent comments from the Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell indicated that they may need to raise rates in 2023 (2 years away!). This is primarily due to the continued excessive money printing fueling a surge in inflation. Inflation is no longer transitory but could remain high for some time. All this should have been positive for a gold bull market, but instead, we saw a $90 correction in the gold price.
However, Gareth Soloway is still firm on his gold price prediction for 2021 of $2,100, seeing the recent correction being a result of a deleveraging of short term positions. He believes that the key fundamental factors underpinning his gold analysis remain extremely bullish for the #gold, specifically excessive money printing, rising inflation and a weakening of the US dollar.
He also shows us some of his silver charts technical analysis and while short term he feels that the silver trade may not be as strong as the #xauusd trade, longer term he is extremely bullish on silver which should please the silver squeeze brigade.
Technical analysis of cryptocurrencies is notoriously difficult given the recent hyperbolic moves in Bitcoin followed by some deep corrections which has seem the crypto lose over 50% of its value since a raft of international restrictions and regulations, not to mention Elon Musk’s appearance on Saturday Nite Live!
